The Mt. Diablo Peace & Justice Center held a community Q&A with research scientist, Dr. Irene Kuhn, on MONDAY, MAY 24TH @ 7:00PM (PST) VIA ZOOM.
(REGISTER HERE)
Dr. Kuhn is a research scientist specializing in cancer cell biology, with over 20 years of experience working in various research settings, most recently at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories.
Since the pandemic began, Dr. Kuhn has closely followed a number of epidemiologists, virologists, and medical centers worldwide, and has facilitated COVID-19 related workshops to other groups across the state.
Her goal is to provide current, research-based information to help people make informed, safe decisions and to take advantage of these safe and effective vaccines that are available!
While things are changing rapidly around us, with many things returning “back to normal” – many of us may still have lingering questions. How do I make sense of the latest CDC guidelines? What should I know about vaccines for children and what should I know about blood clots? What has COVID-19 taught us and how can we be better prepared next time?
Dr. Kuhn was joined by colleague, Dr. Jamie Acosta.
Following a brief presentation, participants had the opportunity to participate in a Q&A.
