Our 15th Annual Peace and Justice Awards Dinner/Fundraiser for the Children of Gaza was held on Saturday, November 4th at Creekside Commons in Lafayette.
Despite our short lead-in time, we were able to accommodate over 130 attendees and raised a record amount! We will be donating our net proceeds, just over $7,000, to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. www.pcrf.net
At this event we learned of the history and latest news from Palestine via a videotaped keynote address by Professor Mazin Qumsiyeh (pre-recorded in Bethlehem due to time-zone constraints), and were able to hear of the peace activism work being done by this year’s awardees:
