Hello wonderful community!
This past week, we have closed submissions to our 2020 Dennis Thomas Art & Writing Challenge + Youth Activist Grant Awards. Despite the hectic nature of the past two months, we have received a number of thoughtful, strong submissions from our local students. Each year we are impressed by their creativity and unique perspectives. It is with great sadness that we are unable to hold our annual Awards Dinner in person this year to honor our winners but we are still intent on making sure they get the recognition they deserve!
Our winners will be featured in an online gallery here on our website, have their photographs + artworks featured in the next issue of our Peace Gazette, as well as receive a certificate of honor from the Center. Our judges are in the process of going through submissions now and we are looking to have our winners announced in the middle of June! Keep an eye out for updates!!!
