The Peace Center was devastated to see the news last Friday regarding the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, effectively ending constitutional protections for abortion in the United States. The ramifications of this decision will be felt by all – but especially by those in marginalized communities. We have to remember that this decision affects us ALL. Whether we know it or not – chances are we are in community with someone whose life has been saved by abortion procedures. This is a critical issue of our time. We have already seen waves of direct action take place this past weekend – with thousands across the country showing up in protest of this decision. Keep an eye on our website as we will be sharing important resources and information about how you can support this movement.

Statement from the artist:

“Inspired by the symbol of the green handkerchiefs worn by the movement to legalize/decriminalize abortion in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and now globally. The green wave is here. Keep abortion accessible, safe, and legal”
